Happy Homemade Sew Chic Pattern J

I've decided to make this little jacket in a nice grayish green cotton fabric.
 Pieces are cut.
I love these glass head pins.

So my jacket is kind of huge.   I'm going to move the pockets up and shorten this as well as make the plackets wider to reduce the size.

O.K.   I'm pleased with my modifications.

I think I'm also going to add just one button at the waist.  I've narrowed my selection to two options.  I'm leaning  towards the horn button to keep things simple and "zen"

Here's the finished jacket.  I like it shorter and I can reach into the pockets now without stretching.

While I am happy that Japanese patterns seem to be smaller in the fact that the shoulders finally fit me properly.  I'm still finding the patterns to be a little too wide and long and I've had to modify everything I have made from this book thus far.
